Council of Indian school certificate Examinations (ICSE)

ICSE board established in 1956 for education of Anglo Indian. It is a private education board. Its main head office in Delhi. ICSE conduct two exam yearly. Its exam is equivalent to 12th class. Its medium is always in English it cannot accept any private medium. ICSE provide extra 100 marks  in each subject at the end of examination and provide a separate pass certificates.

Difference between ICSE and CBSE board

  • Both are self financing education system.
  • ICSE and CBSE have different exam pattern, education pastern, syllabus system and other aspects.
  • Indian government has not recognized the ICSE but CBSE has recognized.
  • CBSE and ICSE both certificate valid all over world but ICSE certificates less valuable than CBSE.
  • CBSE syllabus has more scientific than ICSE so CBSE syllabus is more help to student and teacher to prepare competition exam in right way.
  • CBSE syllabus in more easy than ICSE because ICSE have two and CBSE has only one English paper.
  • CBSE has only one science paper while in ICSE have three science paper.
  • CBSE has only one paper of social science but in ICSE have two papers history and geography.
  • As subjection last difference is environment education necessary in ICSE.
  • CBSE follow the entrance examinations so ICSE student has disadvantages they gave the competitive exam as compared to CBSE student.
  • CBSE has a Front line curriculum so they easily upgrade relevant syllabus material as compared ICSE.
  • ICSE has less schools affiliated as compared to CBSE and CBSE allow all the regular and private both candidate for the exams while ICSE allow only those student who study in ICSE affiliated schools
